May 2023 - We came within 2 days of being open for Pride and meeting all our friends again and being part an event the Bar back in 2001 was instrumental in creating.
Incorrect documents appeared in our licensing file that never existed before showing me as owner the year before I bought the bar when Phil retied

Bar Diamonds is celebrating the 26th year of being a landmark gay owned and run business in C.C. Yumbo, come and experience the quality of our regular live shows and freshness of our drinks, our friendly comfortable sunny terrace is the perfect place to just relax, catch up with friends and watch the world go by until after dark when at least twice a week we transform into as show bar as we have been doing since 1996.
We still don’t hold back on the famously large measures and the original Bar Diamonds fresh strawberry daiquiri , XXL long drinks and trifle shot never disappoint, they are often imitated but no-one has ever come close.
As has always been the case, every ne is very welcome at Bar Diamonds, labels are for drink bottles not people.
Our fresh handmade cocktails, generous measures and amazing staff Ailyn, Billy, Jesus, Kai, Lukasz, Scott and if you're lucky Miss Beverly Hills are just some of the things that have kept Diamonds sparkling for 25 years

Bar Diamonds prides itself for its broad but very carefully selected range of drinks and cocktails. Every cocktail, every spirit, every mixer, every single drink that we serve has been tested, tasted, the recipes tweaked until they are just so, temperatures checked to be cool enough to refresh but not hide the flavours, shaken or gently stirred until the end result we hand serve you is definitely the best of best.
Huge amounts of time and experience have been lavished upon every detail to bring you the ultimate sensory experience.
Be warned though, all our drinks have very generous quantities of alcohol, some are even better endowed and a couple are exceptionally strong and have been helping our amazing customers make great choices since 1996!
Please don't ask us to prepare a cocktail off menu as mixology is an art form and Bar Diamonds does not want to serve you a generic google search recipe that would never meet our or your expectations.

The first appearance of the L,XL and XXL long drinks that Bar Diamonds has become so famous for was in 2011 for Maspalomas Pride. The idea was to give a decent quality drink, not the cheapest roughest spirits available that give a guaranteed hangover the next morning, and sell them in Diamonds generously sized measures for a decent price.
It started off as the €3, €4, €5 offer and was such a success at the first Pride it became a standard part of the menu. In 10 years it has only had two price increases and our Large at €5 tastes better and and has a more generous measure than the €7+ sold at the pop up bars during any of the events.
The XXL and Bar Diamonds are now forever linked and form the basis of many many stories that start "I was in Diamonds with my first XXL of the day and......."
